Spalted Maple Oval Bowl 10"

The maple tree is beloved throughout New England for it’s wood, syrup and vibrant fall foliage. Maple wood is characterized by a smooth grain and unique light color. We upcycle fallen maple trees that are in the early stages of decomposition to get remarkable spalted lines running throughout the wood (read about it here). Each bowl is a unique masterpiece of nature. Our spalted maple nesting bowls are sustainably sourced, upcycled, and handcrafted in New England. 10” Small Serving Bowl: approx: 10”w X 2.5”h. Great for: large individual salad, pasta, or popcorn servings. Small fruit bowl Candy or nut bowl. All trees are slightly different in hue and detail and this makes each bowl different and unique. We suggest cleaning all our bowls right after use at the table.  Hand washing with mild soap and towel drying is recommended. Do not place in dishwasher or submerge in water. We recommend using Beeswax Conditioner once a month to keep your bowl in prime condition. This helps prevent it from drying out as well as from absorbing too much moisture.
